I finally picked up the gauntlet and accepted the Challenge! And I am stoked!!!

Well, actually, after lurking and watching from afar for the last eight years I finally plucked up my nerve and asked Curt if I could play too. Fortunately there was a slot open. (My email request to join in was a little late because I wanted to prove to myself that I was ready by prepping certain figures for this Challenge. Obviously, I got them finished and sent my email request in.)

I enjoy painting. I’ve gotten, for me, fairly fast over the years. Which means that I can paint a prepped and primed figure that I’m happy with in about three hours.

The speed and quality of the painters participating in these annual Challenges really is amazing. Its not meant to be but it can be intimidating to think about even trying to keep up. I mean these folks are good and mind-bogglingly fast!

But the name of the game is to stay sane during the depths of Winter’s dark nights and encourage each other as we work to reduce our lead mountains and produce finished game ready figures and units. Oh yeah, I’m in!

I’m new to the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge, and I am a slow painter, so my goal is 500 points.

I’m going to be working on my Collection of classic 25mm, predominately, Ral Partha fantasy figures that I’ve been collecting since the mid-70s. (25 mm is The One True Scale!)

Hmmm, maybe 4.5 points per foot figure? That'd be 111 figures, rather appropriate for AHPC IX 'Fellowship'!
